How It Works
The operating principle of the HC-type square wire rope electric hoist is based on a wound-rotor motor driving a four-stage gear reducer, combined with multi-layer winding and a pulley block multiplier system:
① Powertrain: When powered, the wound-rotor motor (YZR series or equivalent heavy-duty motor) drives the four-stage gear reducer via a coupling. The motor is equipped with a built-in electromagnetic disc brake that applies braking force via a spring when power is cut off, providing fast response and high braking torque, making it suitable for heavy-duty applications involving frequent starts and stops with high load capacities.
② Four-stage reduction gearbox: The motor’s rotational speed is reduced step by step through a four-stage helical gear system to drive the drum. Compared to the three-stage transmission of the CD1 model, this four-stage transmission configuration offers a higher gear ratio and greater load-carrying capacity, meeting the low-speed, high-torque requirements for lifting heavy loads.
③ Multi-layer winding + rope layup: The drum features a multi-layer wire rope winding design, combined with a mechanical rope guide, to ensure that the wire ropes are arranged evenly and orderly between each layer, preventing tangling and skipping. The rope guide moves laterally in sync with the rotating drum, guiding the wire ropes to form a spiral pattern.
④ Pulley Block Ratio: The wire rope multiplication ratio (2-rope, 4-rope, 6-rope, or 8-rope) is adjusted via a pulley block. A higher multiplication ratio results in lower tension per rope and slower hoisting speed, making it suitable for heavy-duty applications; a lower multiplication ratio results in faster hoisting speed, making it suitable for medium- and light-duty applications. The HC model allows for flexible adjustment of the rope ratio by replacing the pulley block configuration.

Wound-rotor motor: YZR Series Wound-Rotor Induction Motors, protection class IP54, insulation class F/H. The motor is equipped with an electromagnetic disc brake at the rear, with a braking torque of ≥1.5 times the rated torque.
