Product Features

Wall/Column Mounting — No Floor Space Required: The jib is secured directly to a factory wall or concrete column, leaving the floor area completely clear for personnel and forklifts to move freely, maximizing space utilization.

180° Slewing for Wide Coverage: The jib slews 180° around its fixed pivot point. Standard cantilever lengths of 3–6m are available, covering a semicircular working area extending outward from the wall.

Manual or Electric Slewing for Flexible Adaptation: The slewing mechanism can be manual (push/pull the jib directly for light loads) or electric (motor-driven, recommended for heavy loads and frequent use). Models BX0.125–BX0.5T offer manual slewing as an option, while BX1–BX3T are recommended with electric slewing.

Compact Structure, Light Dead Weight: The wall column jib crane features a simple structure with low dead weight and responsive load movement. It is easy to install and maintain, making it an energy-efficient and cost-effective material handling solution.

Working Principle

The BX series wall-mounted jib crane operates on the principle of a wall bracket plus slewing jib plus chain electric hoist. The fixed bracket is securely mounted to a wall or concrete column using expansion bolts or embedded parts. The jib beam connects to the bracket through a slewing mechanism and can be rotated 180° either manually or electrically. The chain electric hoist travels along the jib rail, moving horizontally across the jib while handling vertical lifting of loads.

During operation, the operator uses a remote control or pendant to position the electric hoist above the load, lowers the hook to attach the load, lifts it to a safe height clear of obstacles, slews the jib to above the target position, and lowers to unload. The BX series supports multi-point workstation operation — multiple loading/unloading stations can be set up within the semicircular area covered by the same jib, allowing one crane to serve several workstations.

Structural Composition

The crane consists of the following core components:

Wall-Mounting Bracket: A steel structure bracket secured to a wall or concrete column with expansion bolts or embedded parts, carrying the full load. Verify that the wall/column has sufficient strength before installation.

Jib Beam: An I-beam or H-beam cantilever, 3–6m in length, mounted on the fixed bracket. The lower flange of the jib serves as the travel rail for the electric hoist.

Slewing Mechanism: The rotating assembly connecting the fixed bracket and the jib, incorporating rolling bearings and thrust bearings to support 180° jib rotation. Available with manual slewing or electric slewing (motor power 0.37–1.1kW).

Chain Electric Hoist: Traverses horizontally along the jib and handles vertical lifting of loads. Equipped with two-speed control (fast/slow), providing lifting speeds of 2–8m/min.

Electrical Control System: Operated via wireless remote control or pendant, controlling hoist lifting/lowering, horizontal travel, and jib slewing (on electric-slewing models). Includes limit switches and emergency stop protection.

Applications

Fixed-Station Lifting on Production Lines: For workstations requiring frequent lifting of workpieces, the BX wall-mounted jib crane is installed on the wall or column adjacent to the station. Its 180° slewing range covers the entire workstation, providing on-demand lifting.

Loading/Unloading Along Warehouse Walls: For loading, unloading, and stacking goods in wall-side warehouse areas, the 3–6m cantilever reaches into aisle racks. Combined with the lateral movement of the hoist, it enables efficient material handling along warehouse walls.

Light Cargo Handling at Docks: BX wall-mounted jib cranes installed along dock edges handle the transfer of light cargo without occupying ground-level working space.

Point Lifting in Maintenance Areas: Wall-mounted jib cranes installed along maintenance bay walls are used for disassembling, assembling, and moving heavy components. The BX3T, with a rated lifting capacity of 3t, covers most machine tool parts and maintenance lifting needs.

Selection Guide

By Lifting Capacity: Choose BX0.125T for loads up to 125kg, BX0.25T for 250kg, BX0.5T for 500kg, BX1T for 1t, BX2T for 2t, and BX3T for 3t. Standard hoisting height is 3m; custom heights are available upon request.

By Cantilever Length: Cantilever lengths of 3m, 4m, 5m, and 6m are available. A longer cantilever provides greater coverage, but at the same tonnage, it requires a stronger support bracket and slewing mechanism. For higher capacities, a shorter cantilever is recommended.

Wall/Column Strength Verification: Prior to installation, technical personnel must assess the load-bearing capacity and mounting dimensions of the wall or concrete column. For BX2T and above, installation on reinforced concrete columns is required; BX0.125T to BX1T models can be mounted on solid brick or concrete walls.

FAQ

Q: Can the BX wall-mounted jib crane be installed on a regular brick wall?

A: BX0.125T to BX0.5T models (125–500kg) can be mounted on solid brick or concrete walls using chemical anchors or high-strength expansion bolts. A minimum wall thickness of 240mm is recommended. For BX1T and above, installation on reinforced concrete columns is recommended. A professional on-site evaluation of wall strength is mandatory prior to installation.

Q: What is the difference between a wall-mounted jib crane and a wall-travelling jib crane (BQ type)?

The BX wall-mounted jib crane is fixed in a single position, with the cantilever rotating 180° to cover a fixed area. The BQ wall-mounted jib crane travels longitudinally along wall-mounted rails, offering greater coverage but requiring more complex installation. The BX is ideal for lifting at a single fixed workstation, while the BQ is suited for long-distance material handling along an entire wall side.

Q: Is cantilever slewing manual or electric? How to choose?

Both manual and electric slewing options are available. Manual slewing suits light loads (≤0.5t) and low-frequency applications—simply push or pull the end of the cantilever to rotate it. Electric slewing is recommended for heavy loads (≥1t) or frequent rotation, as the motor-driven slewing mechanism makes operation easier and less labor-intensive. The electric slewing motor power ranges from 0.37 to 1.1kW.

Q: Can the BX model be installed outdoors?

Yes, but weatherproofing and corrosion protection are required: apply anti-rust paint to the cantilever and support frame, fit a rain cover over the electric hoist, and ensure the electrical control cabinet has a waterproof rating of at least IP54. Note that operation is only permitted when outdoor wind force is ≤6 levels, and regular corrosion inspections are necessary for long-term outdoor use.

Q: Why are there multiple lifting speed values (e.g., 8/2)?

The BX model is equipped with a two-speed chain electric hoist, where the values before and after the slash represent fast and slow speeds respectively. For example, 8/2 means 8m/min fast speed (used for no-load or light-load conditions) and 2m/min slow speed (used for heavy loads or precise positioning). Two-speed control balances work efficiency with operational safety.
