Working Principle
The QP series double-drum winch hoist operates on the structural principle of a winch combined with wire ropes and dual lifting points. The motor drives the gearbox, which rotates the drum. The wire rope wound around the drum connects to the gate lifting points via a pulley block, enabling the gate's lifting and lowering motion. The two lifting points are connected by a synchronous shaft, ensuring the wire ropes on both sides reel in and out simultaneously, allowing the gate to move smoothly without tilting.
To lift the gate, the motor rotates forward to wind the wire rope. To lower it, the motor reverses to unwind the rope, allowing the gate to descend and close under its own Dead Weight. The brake can hold the gate securely at any position. The manual operating mechanism drives the gearbox Input Shaft via a hand crank or handwheel, enabling manual operation in the absence of Power Supply.
Structural Composition
Comprises the following core components:
Frame and Base: A welded steel frame structure that supports all transmission components and bears the lifting force. Secured to the pier or machine bridge with Anchor Bolts.
Winch Mechanism: Each of the two drums is connected to one lifting point, with Wire Rope wound around them. The drum diameter and rope capacity are designed based on the required lifting force.
Deceleration Transmission System: Consists of motor, Gearbox, synchronous shaft, and double drums. The gearbox reduces speed and increases torque. The synchronous shaft ensures both drums rotate at the same Rotational speed.
Brake: Utilizes a Shoe brake or Hydraulic Thrust Brake, which engages automatically upon power failure to ensure the gate stops reliably at any position.
Electrical Control System:380V three-phase power supply, with a Control Cabinet for Lifting/Lowering operations, limit protection, and Overload Protection. Optional Manual/Electric switching and remote control available.
