Q: What's the biggest advantage of the inline winch over a conventional one?
A: The footprint. The inline design places the motor and drum on the same axis, making the overall length roughly half that of a conventional parallel-shaft winch. For example, the JK2.0D has a pull of 20KN (about 2 tons) yet measures only 1400×470×548mm and weighs 510kg — a conventional JK2 with the same pull is 945×996×570mm and 550kg, nearly twice as long. The planetary gear drive is also quieter than an open gear and doesn't leak oil. Per GB/T 10055, the inline configuration fully meets construction hoist safety requirements.
Q: For the JK0.75D and JK1.25D, how do I calculate single-rope pull from the "double-rope allowable pull"? What does it mean?
A: The rated pull for these two models is the combined pull of both ropes when used in a double-rope configuration. For example, the JK0.75D has a rated pull of 7.5KN. If you use the double-rope reeving (the wire rope loops around the hook to form two parts), each rope carries 3.75KN. For single-rope use, simply rate it at 7.5KN.
