Working Principle
The QPK series double-suspension-point quick-lifting winch hoist operates on the principle of a winch combined with a speed governor and wire rope. The motor drives the gearbox to rotate the drum, which winds the wire rope connected via the pulley block to the gate suspension points, enabling the gate to be raised and lowered. The speed governor, connected to the high-speed end of the reducer, controls the lowering speed of the gate during rapid closure to prevent excessive impact on the sill.
During normal operation, the motor drives the gearbox to wind or unwind the wire rope on the drum, raising and lowering the gate at a steady speed. In a crash back, the motor rotates forward to release the brake, and the gate descends rapidly under its own dead weight and water pressure, with the speed governor keeping the lowering speed within a safe range. The brake engages automatically upon power failure, ensuring the gate stops reliably at any position. The manual operating mechanism allows the gearbox to be driven by a hand crank when no power supply is available.
