The hook latch spring must provide sufficient tension with smooth opening and closing of the locking plate. The brake is verified through inching/jog mode to confirm responsive and reliable action, and the limit switches are manually triggered to ensure the travel switch contacts operate correctly.

Periodic inspections are conducted monthly by dedicated maintenance personnel and typically take about half a day. Key tasks include Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) of main girder weld seams using a portable flaw detector, focusing on T-joint welds at the mid-span region and end connections, as well as welds at the ends of stiffeners. Before testing, the weld surface must be cleaned down to bare metal, and the magnet yoke spacing should not exceed 100 mm. The camber of the main girder is measured at mid-span using a precision level instrument or the taut-wire method, and compared against the initial camber value. The annual deflection must not exceed S/3000; if the residual camber falls below S/2000, the main girder should be evaluated to determine whether reinforcement is required. Trolley rail wear is measured with calipers—rail head wear must not exceed 2 mm, and any rail section exceeding this limit should be replaced or reconditioned promptly.
